Building a business is a social endeavor involving the mobilization of skills, expertise, entrepreneurial experience, and capital sources.  It is in this context that VentureNet Iowa acts as a nexus to connect the idea to the resources appropriate to a company’s stage of development.  VentureNet Iowa continues to build upon the base of resources from connections throughout the state and beyond.  These connections are organized among several broad categories that include:

•  Focus groups to assist in understanding and assessing the idea and its market potential

•  Potential mentors, advisers, and management

•  Sources of capital and in-kind assistance; includes both private and public entities and programs

Given the broad spectrum of technologies that we see on a continual basis and the deep vertical knowledge that underlies each idea or product, we seek out and rely upon the assistance of individuals drawn from our resource database.
